I'm Sarosh — your neighbor, an applied mathematician, and a former Mathnasium tutor. In our sessions, students work on their actual assignments while I find the underlying gaps and build exercises to close them. No canned curriculum. Grades 4–12, plus SAT/ACT math.

Math is my thing.
I live in River Islands and lead an applied science R&D team by day. I've taught for years — as a university teaching assistant and at a Mathnasium, tutoring everything from elementary math through calculus. I know the local schools' pacing (yes, including Wednesday minimum days), and I build sessions around it.

One-on-one is just the start. The long-term goal is a physical center with drop-in, office-hours-style help grouped by grade — bring your work, get help the moment you're stuck, and stay as long as you need. Every founding family on the roster brings it closer. It opens once enough students are ready, and you'll be first through the door.

What happens in a first session?
Your student brings whatever they're working on — homework, a recent test, anything. We work through it together, and afterward I'll tell you honestly what I see: where they're solid, where the gaps are, and what I'd focus on. No obligation past that.
In person or online?
Both. I'm a River Islands resident, so in-person is local. Online sessions run on Zoom with a shared whiteboard — I write everything out live, same as sitting next to each other.
How does between-session question support work?
Students on the 12-session pack (or their parents, for younger kids) can send me a photo of a stuck problem any day. I respond the same day during posted hours — usually with a short written walkthrough or a quick video. It's for getting unstuck, not for doing the assignment.
What grades and subjects?
Grades 4–12: elementary math through Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and SAT/ACT math. California standards and local school pacing.
How does billing work?
Single sessions are paid when you book. The 12-session pack is paid once, up front, and you use the sessions at whatever pace fits your schedule. Need to move a session? Just give 24 hours' notice and we'll reschedule without losing it.
What I collect, and what I don't.
To arrange tutoring I collect only what's needed: a parent's name, email, and phone, and the student's first name, grade, current course, and school. That's it.
I never sell or share this information. It's used only to schedule sessions, bill through Stripe, and send you updates about your student. Payment card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by me. Analytics are privacy-respecting and don't use tracking cookies.
